Kindle Bricked after attmping the PW4 SW Jailbreak

So, I got a kindle 10th gen(WiFI, 8GB) as a gift for xmas, serial number starts with "g090 vb" so it seemed like it actually was a PW4. So, after sending the factory firmware, it installed it, but after the "update successful" popped up, it went to the tree screen. where it says "Please Wait a moment while your kindle starts up"
when I hold the power button, the button does its green and amber thing. but nothing happens on screen. Tried holding it as well for upwards of 5 mins.

When I plug it into my computer, it shows up in device manager as "SP Blank 6SLL" have I fucked up my device?

Cant find how to edit posts, but I could still get this thing retunred under warenty if I wannted to, since it cant even be booted up or hard reset, but one edge of the bezle is lifting up

That's a KT4 (a rejiggered Kid's Edition, actually), not a PW4, so, not surprising that it bricked.

It's dead, Jim.

None of the PW4 serial numbers start with G090.

One of the disadvantages now that it's public. Back when it was PM only, I can screen serial numbers so people don't install it and brick their KT4, PW3, Oasis, Voyage, etc.

Is there a possibility of recovery via serial port? I'm assuming it would be possible to interrupt the boot process before it attempts to load the wrong firmware and recover from there. I don't have the hardware nor the manual skills to attempt this myself, so I cannot confirm this myself and refer the possibility to those who have or can confirm or deny my speculation.

Possible but the OP will need to figure that out on his own as there are no guides specific to the KT4. The Oasis is probably the closest to this one.

I have saved tens of devices.

Nobody got anywhere with an Oasis either until a few weeks ago. If the KT4 is indeed similar in configuration to the Oasis it might just be possible to save it.

I don't have one, nor do I have the tools or dexterity to work with such delicate equipment. I find it interesting that we now have two cases active right now that might be saved and at least one of the users indicates capability to work with the KT4 manually. With some support from others with knowledge of the firmware it might work out.

The KT4 runs on a different platform than the Oasis 2/3, so, it may not be a 1:1 match

I think it was an Oasis 1 whose serial port was found. I don't think anyone has opened an Oasis 2 or 3 without destroying it.

I was able to get it returned, hoping I don't get a rejigged kids model again. New one should be here tomorrow. The fact that the 10th gen kindle does not have epub support is nuts.
anyways, Thank You, im defiantly staying around these forms.
