Book titles missing Kobo Glo

With the latest update of calibre, the latest Kobo firmware, and the latest Kobo utility plugin, I am now finding that loading books to my Kobo, the titles are showing as "unknown"
Any Ideas?

Nothing has changed in calibre, the device or the Kobo Utilities plugin that would mean the titles would not show up if they were before.

The device reads the titles from the metadata in the books. Calibre will update the metadata when you send the book to the device. If you library shows the correct title, then the device should see it. You can change the title using a metadata plugboard. If that is not correct, then it could be setting the title incorrectly. That is probably the first place to look.

You could also open the book on the device after sending it and before disconnecting the device and see what the metadata is.

Thanks for that advice. I've no idea what happened there. I updated Calibre , and the Kobo Firmware, and somehow something got corrupted. All the titles disappeared from my Kobo overnight, so I cleared everything out. In Calibre I restored the defaults in the plugboard section and tweaked the send to device section. Reloading my books now and all seems well.
My convert AZW to EPUB has stopped working, but I'll look into that later.

The conversion problem is because you are using Calibre 5.x and the DeDRM plugin does not work with any Calibre greater then 4.23. So install Calibre 4.23 portable (if using Windows) and copy over your settings and you'll be good to remove DRM and convert your Kindle eBooks to ePub.
