Oasis 3 - Patchy backlight
I finally caved and bought an Oasis 3 in the Prime Day sale. Unfortunately I've noticed some patchiness on the right hand side.

It's exaggerated in the photo I've attached but it's still clearly visible to the naked eye.

Is this a common thing?

I hope you have more luck than I did. I noticed the problem is far more visible if you crank up the warmth, so that's a good way to quickly check.

The annoying thing is they are sold out. So I can't replace it until the 11th of next month.

I think the lighting looks pretty even on mine. But I'll be experimenting with different lighting, etc. to really check it out.

Yep, that does look like a patchy kindle.
fortunately I got mine around release time and got a perfectly uniform kindle. I would return yours and get a new one!

I got one a few months back and my lighting is perfect, no issues. Sounds like you got one with an iffy screen. Sorry about that, hate when that happens.

I never seem to have much luck with anything that has a screen. It doesn't help that I'm fussy and a bit obsessive.
