Kobo larger than 6

I had an kobo aura one back in the day and loved it, it switched to kindle oasis 3 when it came out and sold my KA1. So looking at current devices it looks like the only devices with screens larger than 6 inches have that annoying oasis square design. Is there any rumors of a device with larger than 6 inches and classic book shape design?

You could look for the predecessors of the current models: Kobo Aura One and Kobo Aura H2O v2. You'll likely have to buy used. But they should have all the features of the Forma and Libra in a more traditional shape.

Not exactly. The KA1 and the H2O2 do not support Dropbox.

Currently no Kobo with >6" screen with the traditional shape. The PocketBook InkPads 3 (7.8"), 3 Pro (7.8") and X (10.3") are traditional shaped (as are some of the Android eInk tablet readers). There's also the Nook Glowlight Plus (7.8") but you may like the wider bezels and page turn buttons on both sides.

As a VERY happy Aura H2O2 owner, I second the recommendation - eBay as of right now (06:31 UTC August 21) lists ONE brand new one available.

Depending on where you are, you may be able to get a refurbished reader in one of the old models from Kobo directly. The UK website currently has the refurbished H₂0 Edition 2 for £139.

Mention of the Nook. Expect a message from a certain penguin incorrectly complaining about 'rubbery' bezels and firmware.

The Kobo Forma is 16 cm x 18 cm; overall dimensions. The visible display is 12.7 cm (or thereabouts) x 16.2 cm, which is even more rectangular versus square. If you want the text to be more classically shaped you could crank up the margins in the settings.

For me, compared to the Oasis the Forma is a joy to hold.
