Calibre not recognizing Kindle DX
I've been using the Kindle DX for several years, but it has sat idle for the last year or so. When I recently connected my Kindle DX, I can no longer access my Calibre Library. I updated the Calibre software (4.2.2) on my computer, but it didn't help. The "Device" icon does not appear in the Calibre toolbar. Therefore, I cannot add books to my device.
To my knowledge, the Kindle DX is still compatible. I've reset the Kindle to Factory Defaults, but it did not help. I also made sure that my Kindle did not show up in the "Ignore Devices" section. Any suggestions? |

After trying a number of new micro USB cables, I finally was able to get Calibre and my computer to recognize the Kindle DX. It is quite possible that my older cables were corrupted somehow.
