Metadata Error message
When clicking "Edit metadata" and then "Download metadata," I'm getting an error message that says "ImportError: Module use of python27.dll conflicts with this version of Python."

Error Message
Sorry, I'm on Windows 10, and I have the latest Calibre version 5.37. I have tried downloading a new version of the python27.dll. There were several versions and I tried them all, but with no luck. I get the same error message. Thanks!

Calibre has not used python 2 for at least a couple of years. It could be by a plugin that has not been updated. Post the details of the error message for us to look at.

A possibility is that you have two calibre versions installed and they are conflicting. I managed to do that when I changed from 32bit calibre to 64bit calibre. The 32bit version wasn't uninstalled properly and sometime bits of it would be picked up and cause some very strange errors.

Uninstall, delete C:\\Program Files\\Calibre2
(or wherever you chose to install calibre). Then re-install. And
dont worry, uninstalling will not affect your books/settings.

Error Message Solved
Thanks so much! Uninstalling, deleting Calibre 2, and reinstalling did the trick. Thanks again!
