Clara HD Changing number of books displayed in Cover View

Hi all.

I have a Kobo Clara with the latest firmware and would like to be able to change the number of books displayed from four to three in the Cover View option. This is in hopes that the displayed books would be larger like in the Kindle Paperwhite. I tried searching the forums, but could not locate any information on how to do this. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Shaun!

If you're talking about the home screen, it is possible. Go to "settings" and "beta features". Selecting "large print mode" gives you a font scale slider. With mine set to 140% the home screen show the three most recently opened books, and the stacked thumbnails below them ("My Books" etc.) obediently disappear. I like the simpler look for the Home Screen that this produces.

And while the large print setting increases the font size across the user interface, any individual collection still displays eight thumbnails per page in cover view. So I don't know how to change THAT particular behavior.

Thanks Calenorn! I changed the settings to "Large Print Mode" and I agree with you. It makes for a nice clean Home Screen. I really like it. But like you stated, it doesn't impact the eight thumbnails per page. I'm not sure if there is a patch for this or not. Thanks again Calenorn, your suggestion has already made a big difference.
