I'm trying to find a book I read a long time ago, and I was wondering if there was something in calibre I could try to search a bunch of books for a common word, as opposed to having to open each book and use the search function in the reader.
I know, weird question, but this has been driving me nuts and I have a huge library. All help's appreciated! |

The Quality Check and Multi-column search optional plugins have content search capabilities, see Index of plugins
That said, I would use an external tool, such as Windows Search, FileLocator, X1, Spotlight, Docfetcher etc, to search the library folder, and on Windows at least, funnel the results into calibre via the Drop Search Results plugin --- I'm not sure if it works with Linux and MacOS.
