How to use font family in original document?
How do I do this? I don't want to have to specify the font to use for the conversion every time I convert an ebook. Specifying a default font or an option to use the font family used in the original ebook would be effective. I'm referring to something like the option that is provided in the conversion dialog box to use the margins provided in the original ebook.
And also, calibre for some reason resets the font I chose for the previous conversion so that I have to change it again everytime. Is there a save settings feature in calibre for conversions? Thanks. Last edited by Swifty4635; 10-22-2019 at 06:34 PM. |

What exactly are you trying to do? What format to what format? Why do you need to specify a specific font? Please give as much detail as possible.

Set up your personal defaults via Preferences->Conversions.. There's a "Restore Defaults" button on the book conversion screen. BR |

If you want ALL new (or reset ones ) conversions to use the style.
Put those into the conversion DEFAULTS, which is : (many settings in Preferences are Defaults for the NEXT time used. This does not affect things that HAVE used them) Preferences: Common Options: Styling: Extra CSS |

Thanks. That works.
You just define the defaults in Preferences. As stated, this applies to new conversions only, but you can apply the custom defaults to a previously converted document by pressing the "Restore Defaults" button in the conversion dialog screen. |
