How to transfer "series" information from calibre to Tolino Vision 6

All information I read on the net are not working or I do not really understand what's necessarily to do...

Tolino Vison 6 does not show "old fashioned" series information, like my old Kobo Glo did.

I tried to configure "Tolino Shine Device Interface" as well as the Metadata switchboard - without success - I always see Author and title, only

Is there anyone/user/owner of Tolino Vision 5/6 who successfully solved the "problem"

I think the only way for most non-Kobo is to have a template that adds the series name and number after the title when sending to device. The later Kindle FW does support Series, but only set by Amazon (from Publisher which can be missing or wrong), so that textual trick works for a Kindle too (Using USB transfer, not the broken "Send to Kindle").

The Metadata Plugboard is the tool to use for any device that uses the books internal metadata. (the template in Send To... all adjust file names of the sent books)

The Metadata Plugboard contains the string:

{series:||}{series_index:0>2s|: | - } {author_sort}
Destination filed: authors

but: Nothing appears at the Tolino that has to do with the field "series"

Does the Tolino get its information from the metadata of the book or the book's file name? What is your save template, looking in the Tolino device plugin, not the Send to device preferences? Does that match what you see on the Tolino?

Sorry - my english is not good enough for this procedure to understand
It would be easier to communicate with someone who owns a Tolino and to learn what exactly to write down in order to come to a result, as requested

Kindle was only an example. The scheme works for ANY ereader, as if the Title column had the series in the Title (and some books
do have it & I remove it)/

That does look wrong. You want series name & number to be added to the title field, not author.

Tolino recognizes collections based on folders. What you could do is define a folder structure like this:

books/seriesname/book.epub

Then you'd find your series in your collections tab. IIRC, you cannot have nested collections so keep that in mind.
