I have a problem with regard to updating an Amazon book. One of the book files I have (original) has 4 novels in it. I see now it has been updated with 6 novels! Yet when, in "Managing ... and Devices", I click "Actions | Download & Transfer via USB", Amazon downloads the original file. When I click "Update Available", it warns me to have my Kindle connected and I can't see a way to download the file! Is there a trick to downloading the updated file which, in this case, would have all 6 novels in it?

When you go to "Manage Your Devices and Content", if a book says "Update Available" you first need to click that and select "Update". Then select the "Deliver to Device" option and you'll get the updated version of the book.

I need to re-open this discussion.
If I click "Update Available", it just sends it to my device - I don't think I've ever been given a choice of destination. Can I use the KFX Input add-on in Calibre to add it to my database? If I open Kindle for PC before clicking Update, none of the books show an update available. Why is that? If it's any help, we have syncing turned OFF because we have 2 Kindles on 1 account. |
