Highlight Not Syncing Across Devices...?
For instance, my highlights on desktop and Android are not in concordance...

1) Are the devices registered to the same account?
2) Is the ebook in question one that you purchased from Amazon? 3) Have you tried manually syncing? 4) Make sure you have synchronization enabled on your "Manage your Kindle" page at Amazon. |

Anybody knows if Amazon is going to implement highlight syncing across devices...?

Wish Whispersync will sync highlights and notes for other platforms (PC, Mac, iPhone, Android...) soon...

Is it possible to "manually" sync the highlights between devices...? I mean, they're stored in a file somewhere on the PC/Mac/Android/iPhone/iPad, right...?

BTW, I would like to mention that my highlights are shown at https://kindle.amazon.com, but they aren't synced back to my desktop app nor Android.
Any idea...? |

I've edited my previous post and bolded in red the part that says "If you have a Kindle App, we will be adding this capability soon." You only use Kindle apps which can't yet be synced.
I don't know of a manual way to sync. |

It seems that it's the desktop PC app not doing the sync part, the Android app apparently syncs the highlights just fine.

Viola... I don't know what changed, or if the blue moon is up there now, but my Kindle for PC app just synced the highlights back...

I edited my previous post and in bold red the part that says "If you have an app Kindle, we'll add this feature soon." You only use applications like the Kindle is not yet synchronized.

EIGHT years later, and this problem still exists?
After reading everything on Amazon, and numerous Google searches, I finally just deregistered my app, then re-registered it. That fixed it. Last edited by Zuldaris; 01-01-2019 at 04:52 PM. |
