Hide Progress bar on Kindle 4
Hey there,
First post here, s far this forum was amazing in helping me with my kindle stuff I found an old Kindle 4 on ebay and just installed jailbreak and custom screensavers. I would like to hide the progress bar, but all I found was this script for the Kindle 3: https://github.com/muness/kindle-progress-bar-remover To my understanding, launchpad does not work on Kindle 4? Is there any hack I can install to get the same result on my device? Best regards |

I don't know if there is another way, but the way I did it was to modify a couple of jar files following instructions in this post
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh....php?p=3272458 I changed reader.progressbar.height to 0. I also reduced the margins to get max amount of text. See picture. Sorry for the blurriness. It's a little involved and if you mess up you can soft (hard?) brick your kindle
