Issue Updating Books on Kindle

I've recently started using the FanFicFare tool to download web serials off of sites, I'm able to download the novels and update them when new chapters are released, however when I try to send an updated book to my kindle I continue to get the old version.

I can confirm that the updated version of the book is in my Calibre library, I've opened it and seen that new chapters have been added. I've hit send to device however the book on my Kindle does not have new chapters.

I've also removed the book from my kindle (Even unplugging it and replugging it in after removing) then sent the book back to my kindle, however I'm continuing to see the old version of the book.

I've tried to read through the manual and tutorials, but can't find another reference to a similar issue, any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Did you restart your Kindle after adding the updated version?

I suspect that the azw3 format file hasn't been updated. You can check by doing Edit Metadata on the book and double clicking the azw3 file.

FanFicFare creates and updates epub format by default. Kindle generally requires mobi or azw3 Amazon specific formats. Depending on how you send the book to Kindle, the conversion may have happened automatically the first time (Reading List for example).

FFF has a setting (lower left corner of 'Basic' config tab) for 'Automatically Convert new/update books'. If you use Kindle (like I do), you probably want that checked.

And make sure that Calibre is set to Convert to azw3 by default (Preferences > Behavior > Preferred output format).

Thanks so much JimmXinu! I'd changed the format to Mobi in the plugin but hadn't checked that box so it kept trying to reupload the old epub file. I really appreciate your help on this!
