calibre v3.30 email plugboard not working as expected help?

I'm using calibre 3.30 on Windows 7 64bit fully updated.

I have 3 plugboards setup. The 3 I use are save-to-disk, email and epub. Each is set as follows

{series_index:0>2s|| - }{series:|| - }{title}

Destinations field is set as Title.

When I save to disk it works just fine. The filename starts with the series book number, then the series name and finally the books title. But when I send it as an email it doesn't work that way. Instead it lists the book name and then the author.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

ohh crap... wait, I seem to recall that plugboards are for formatting the metadata not the filename, right? Crap... I believe thats it. I think save-to-disk does work on the filename but not the others.

Can I get confirmation on this please?
