Device: Kobo Aura One LE
Can no longer load book on KA1LE
After updating both the Kobo (Aura One Limited) and Calibre. I have mods installed on the Kobo. (I probably have screwed something up here being a noob)

Whenever I try adding any books, now, I get to the boot menu where I have to choose options like Nickel/KOReader/etc, and then, regardless of choice, the device shuts off anyway after a while. Without adding any selected books.

This also happens if I manually copy any books into the Kobo's folder.

The files are present in the Kobo folder, if I go look at them with Windows Explorer. Calibre, however, also does not detect them on the Kobo - as the Kobo does not itself, as well.

(It seems that merely connecting the Kobo to a computer (or to be more accurate, after it is disconnected) via USB is what is causing the resets.)

As Kobo ereaders do not come with a "boot menu", you have probably installed KSM. There is probably something wrong with it's installation that you need to fix to get anywhere. I would recommend asking the question in the KSM thread, or uninstalling KSM.

"KSM" is "Kobo Start Menu". So, the thread is Kobo Start Menu 09. That's assuming I am right about your "boot menu". But, if the "boot menu" is something else, you need to go to wherever you got it from and talk to the support there.

If it helps, I believe in order for Nickel to see the books, the files cannot be in the kobo folder (or a fodler that begins with ".").
