Uploading books by FTP - device doesn't recognize the book

When I upload a book by FTP to my Reader (Kobo Aura One - latest firmware installed), the book is indeed on the device, but the device doesn't recognize it. It doesn't appear on the device. Even after restarting the device the book does not appear.

BUT: After I have attached the device by USB to my Mac and I disonnect it, the database gets apparently refreshed and the book does appear on the device.

How can I refresh the database on the device without connecting it to the computer? Is there a code for Nickel Menu to do that?

You can use NickelMenu to trigger the import. Copy the line below to your NM config file.

Code:
menu_item : main : Import books : nickel_misc : rescan_books_full
Change the main to where you want to see the entry (I use main for Home and library for My Books.
