New Kindle Oasis 2

So, I have posted questions about the KO2, commented about it and pretty much decided that I didn't need to upgrade to it from my Oasis 1.

But my wife who managed to see me posted so much about it, took it upon herself to buy me one as a gift today! Yes indeed, She Rocks!

She bought it at one of those Amazon Pop-up stores in the mall. She was clueless as to what to get with it so she bought the bundle which included a cover and the charging block. Surprisingly the cover is the one of the original leather ones that Amazon originally was selling but discontinued but apparently still being sold at pop-ups. Anyway, not sure about the cover, it fits well enough but I have not had everything long enough to determine if the cover is as problematic as some have said.

Anyway, been loading books all afternoon (hence my post earlier asking if easier way). First read

with it will be later tonight. So excited.

So what did you think? Personally, I was not a fan of the original Amazon cover. I had the cloth, not the leather one, but the magnet wasn't very strong and it kept slipping off. I love this MoKo cover, however.

I like it a lot! The bigger screen is very nice. Not sure about the auto-brightness and how that works (or should work) as I was in fairly well lit room when I tried it out last night.

As for the original cover, I like the looks and the feel of it but the jury is still out. Haven't had slippage yet but only used device once so far. I most likely will get another case to try out, the snap-in kind, since they are relatively cheap and everyone here seems to like them (MoKo, Finti, etc). I have not decided which one to try yet, still looking at the various opinions here.

Personally I read 80% of the time out of the case so a snap on cover would be a hindrance to reading.

Congrats! Loading books is a big battery drain so you may want to keep t plugged in while downloading.

I got a sweet snap in case on ebay for $8 looks like a million bucks. Multiple sellers sell it
