Page numbers missing on newest Voyage firmware? [SOLVED]
My newly-revived Kindle Voyage (detailed in another thread) doesn't seem to have page numbers on this new firmware, although I seem to remember that the current book I was reading did have page numbers in the previous firmware version.

Is this something missing in the current firmware?

Is it the same book?
Not all kindle books have page numbers.

Not all kindle books have page numbers.
I think you mean the bottom left. I clicked it and it cycles through, but no page numbers appeared. I tried all six books on my Kindle. I'm absolutely certain the one I was reading before the mishap had pages.

I then went to the 'Aa' where one enlarges the font size and checked out the options there. The 'Page' option is dimmed.

I did, indeed, click my heels three times but it sent me to the Plateau of Leng, wherein live toad-like creatures with unusually large mouths. I quickly clicked my heels again.

If you send books to your Kindle with Calibre, Calibre will generate ("fake") page numbers for you.

That was my initial thought: This book doesn't have page numbers.

I checked the other 5 books, and they too have no page numbers.

However, I'll add some more books from calibre's Virtual Library that I created just prior to wiping my Kindle and starting over, and then see what happens.

Is it possible that you perhaps originally send the books to your Kindle with Calibre, but now have directly downloaded them from Amazon? That could account for the fact that they had page numbers previously, but now don't.

Are those books that your Oasis shows page numbers for? So you know for sure you have them? You can't get a break! I hate to say it but I think you're right, you have to factory reset the device and reload the ebooks.

I do have to say that I notice that it takes awhile for page numbers and book covers to load. Also sometimes I just have to delete and re-download them. Sometimes it just doesn't work right the first time.

Sideloaded books will only have page numbers if sent by Calibre. It generates the ".apnx" file which contains the page numbers.
