Text on the picture in Kindle

Hello to all!

I have a problem with Kindle:
in Calibre reader appears correct the text on the picture but in Kindle they are separetely.

I think you should use photo-editing software to put the text ON the image, rather than asking CSS to do it.

Actually the image with words on it is smaller than the image plus extra text and extra CSS. SVG is a better choice for this but I am not sure it will fly in MOBI.

YES, I'm sure it is.

However, NONE of the KF7 kindles (the older eInks, etc.) will float text atop a background image. Period. Can't do it. You can do that for KF8 devices.

Depending on the purpose to which you intend to put this, if that purpose is for sale, you either need to a) make one with the text on it (an image), and include that in the files folder and call it for KF7 devices, whilst allowing the KF8's to do what you want (double work, in other words), or, b) you can put the text on the picture, call the picture, and stop dicking around with it.

Your call.
