covers in details
Anyone know how to change the size of the cover in the details panel?
I have a few items I want to see without having to scroll down and the cover takes up half the view. Also, is there a way to manipulate the cover so that items can be shown above? Finally, is there a way to disable some of the column names? I really don't need to see many of the column names as they are self-explanatory. My goal is to have the formats title series and author on top of the cover without the column names then below the cover I would like the coma separated columns with the column names. 1. You can change the details panels to the right site. Just go on Preferences => Look and Feel => User Interface layout and click on the button to change it on "Wide" and restart Calibre. Now your detail panel will be on the right side of your view and you scroll less.
Now close all Columns you don't want to see, right click on the column header and hide column "name". In the detail panel you can't put things above. Under Preferences => Look and Feel => Book Details you can change, which Columns are visible in the Detail panel. And in which order you want them. 2. Another Idea could be another View. To achieve this, look at the Picture of my attachments. Click the Icon (marked in the Picture) and you will now see only the book covers. Under Preferences => Look and Feel => Cover Grid => Field to show under the covers and choose which Field you want to see. Create a new and own Column and put there all information you want to see. |

@BetterRed,
I know that I can increase the size of the pane, but I am trying to save as much real estate in my library as possible. Making the details panel smaller is my goal. Since I can't have much in the way of details in the cover browser it makes me want to keep it. @the ducks What is the floating "I"? |
