How to add back libraries?

During a recent update, all my libraries except one disappeared from my Quick Switch button. What is the best way to add them back? Last time I added a library, I did something wrong and ended up with duplicated books in the library that was open.

As a corollary, if I have a library on another computer and bring it over to this one, do I add it in the same way?

Click the calibre button on the toolbar, choose Switch/create library, enter the path to the library folder
