Why do you want to remove the jailbreak, it does nothing by itself? How do you know that Kubrick was used on the device? How do you know that the device has a jailbreak on it? (Not all Kubrick applications found on the 'net include a jailbreak in the image file.) Last edited by knc1; 06-01-2017 at 10:43 AM. |

Nevertheless, I find k2pdfopt to be quite the killer app for my PDF needs so might postpone this if it proves to be better than other PDF apps available for Kindle. btw, Can I use the jailbreak on a 3.4.2 kidle? Ideally wish to run my kindle on minimum resources, disabled 3g/wifi and I'd love to disable those lockscreen wallpapers too! Thanks! |

Duokan?
Not recommended, not supported, uses OpenSource code without observing the license requirements, uses our code without acknowledgement, owner of the Duokan project has discontinued development and support. Why couldn't you use the jailbreak? It is not registered to the prior owner. You have still not answered my question of why you think Kubrick was used on the device. Your goal of "minimum resources" is not practical. Just unplug the 3G module if you want to disable it. |

I am currently on a stock 3.4.2 therefore I would need to downgrade to 3.4 using the Kubrick Live ISO and then remove the preinstalled jailbreak, should I wish to proceed with that alternative firmware procedure. Can I still perform a jailbreak if I'm on stock 3.4.2 which is the latest version available for my Kindle 3? Thanks |

Have you tried it (the jailbreak install)?
With what results? Better setup the serial port connection on your K3 and get familiar with using it. The direction you are heading in, you will certainly need it. |
