Can TTF fonts be added to Kindle 5 NT?
Hello,

Have just bought a Kindle 5 Non Touch (s/w version 4.1.3).
It only has one (unnamed) font.

Can truetype fonts (e.g. Vollkorn or Chareink) be added?

I'm a bit surprised that not one of the 257 viewers could help with this simple query! Maybe few people use such an old kindle...?

You can add custom fonts but need to jailbreak the device first, although others can correct me but maybe the old non-touch Kindle's can use the USE_ALT_FONTS hack without jailbreaking?

You should check out the developers forum for help with this. The jailbreak thread for a Kindle 4 is - Font, ScreenSaver & USBNetwork Hacks for Kindle 2.x, 3.x & 4.x

Thanks. I ended-up jai*cough*ing my K4NT, and applying a niLuJe font hack. The font changes it made were a bit hard to spot! Still, I'm sure it's all very clever...

Those fonts included are from a long time back in Kindle-Dev history.
There might be better choices posted (somewhere) more recently that you could include.

Sorry I don't use that font add-in, so I can't suggest where/how to look for them.
