Aura H2O Flap fell off!

Not exactly sure how, but it seems to have fallen off, I still have the flap, but the end seems to have ripped a little, so it does come all the way off if I pull on it.

I was wondering if anyone has any ideas about DIY repairs for this? Seems like I would want to avoid Kobo for repairs...

This happened to me a while back but fortunately mine wasn’t damaged. If I remember correctly, the long piece that attaches to the Kobo has an odd shaped end, sort of like a one-sided arrow point. Is yours missing that bit?

I couldn’t figure out how to get it inserted again but my husband, who is much more patient than I am, called Kobo and went through many levels of support and finally got to someone that talked to an actual tech person familiar with the problem.

What he told me to do was insert that piece with the point just until the point was barely inside the Kobo, then take a bent paper clip and push down on the wide side of the point until I could feel it sort of snap into place.

I didn’t have a lot of faith but I tried it and it did actually work.

One of the reps that we spoke to somewhere in the chain did say that they could send me a new port cover if mine was damaged but he wasn't able to tell me how to attach it to the Kobo. Apparently it's not a common problem.

Thanks! The arrow part in mine is gone, so I'll probably call them and see if they can send a replacement flap.

Lol, that's actually what I did for now, since I don't want to have exposed ports when I'm in the bath.
