Stupid question about deregistered Kindle
. So I, rightfully,got an email that my Voyage is going to be deregistered and unable to use amazon functionality because of payment issue. My husband will be home AND with paycheck the week after the dereg date so paying off the bill and having him help me on the phone won't be a problem.
But I'm wondering if I can still use the Voyage for that week if it's ebooks I sideload? I don't see why not but I'm new to the newer Kindles so never know. Just don't know if I can handle a week without my Voyage. My chunky Fire is just not the same. |

Since the letter specifies Amazon functionality, I would guess your sideloaded stuff will still be accessible.
Leave the wifi off until you make the payment. |

Deregistered Kindle's work just fine with sideloaded DRM-free content.

Thanks,Y'all. I'm going to double check that DRM status and leave off wifi as suggested once I'm dereged. I barely go online with it as it is but still want Amazon to have their money,of course.

Have you discussed the matter with Amazon? Even just an online chat? Creditors often very much appreciate a call to let them know of any problems and particularly when they are going to be paid. Sometimes they will delay taking any action if you do this.

And, when that payment is actually made (electronically, I would presume?), call them up on the chat line and see if they received their money and what the status is now that the payment (in full? partial?) has been made, and if the Kindle will be fully functional again.

Well this time its the Creditors Fault... Since they Refused to Chat ot email her back OR Talk to her! I feel she should contact ADA. A company a huge as Amazon Should Not be treating Anyone like this!
