I don't have a Glo HD so I can't directly compare it to that, but the Aura One is roughly the same performance as my H2O, so I would presume it's pretty much the same as the Glo HD. If you're happy with PDF on the Glo, you'll probably be happy with it on the One.
Having said that, with a 19 MB PDF game manual heavy on pics it's about 3-4 seconds to turn a page, so I can understand why the reviews call it bad.
