Mini Firmware for mini

Hi,
I have just bought a used mini for traveling. This may be a dumb question, but I've seen it mentioned that some people have installed newer firmware on the mini than is currently listed as the last official firmware. Which model of firmware do you download and use on your mini?(for newer than the official)(Glo HD/Aura) Also, which firmware version do you find to be the best as far as "bug/glitch free?" Hope I made sense. Lol

What happens is that each time the firmware is released, a thread is started to discuss it. About two or three pages in, someone asks if this works on the Mini. A couple of pages later, someone comes back, very possibly the person who asked before, saying that it works OK.

The Mini is a "Mark 4" device. That means it share the firmware package with the Glo and Touch N905C. So far, I'm pretty sure that all the firmware versions that have been released for these devices are OK for the Mini. I don't have a Mini, so don't test it myself. You should check the threads to see.

If you are looking for something today, I would probably go with either 4.6.9995 or 4.6.10075. Otherwise, there should be a replacement for 4.8.10956 out soon to fix a problem with fonts.

Thank you for the help. I'm thinking of switching back to kobo, and figured the mini is a good starting device for travel. I purchased a used one on eBay and I am waiting on the delivery.
