Importing files without extensions
Hi!
I am new to Calibre and faced with somewhat of a tricky issue. I have quite a number of book files that have been stored without their file extensions. They are recognized by the operating system (Linux Mint), but when I try to import them to into Calibre it only returns unknown format files in the library. Is there a way to import books based on their mime types or similar directly into Calibre? When I rename some of the files which are known to be PDF by adding the .pdf extension it works, but this would be tremendously tedious to do so in this way. I'd like it very much if there were a way to automatically import these. |

I think I may have found an answer to my question.
