Lost update Icon
When I downloaded the current update the update/download Icon has disappeared. How do I get it back

@dshoover - if you mean Edit Metadata, which was a white 'i' on a blue circle, its now a pencil on pad

Try using calibre with Look and feel->Show text under icons: set to Always for a couple of hours.

It is already set to be this way. thanks for trying to help. This whole thing started after a windows 10 update.

@dshoover - do you mean an icon to update/download calibre itself, if so then I've never seen it.

When there's a new release available calibre pops a dialogue box like this:-

If you don't update, then you'll see this in the status line:-

If you click on the blue release number (e.g. 2.71) the dialogue will pop.

Check on Preferences=>Toolbars to see if you can add it. Might have been dropped for some reason or other.

If that's not it, maybe explain exactly what the icon did? I've never seen an update/download icon either...

That would be the Add Book Icon

Preferences: Toolbars:
There are 2 standard locations: Main Toolbar and Main toolbr Connected


Note: The icons STYLE have changed. They should still be in the old locations
