calibre 2.50.1, device not detected anymore
The new device detection fails for me, doesn't see my Imcosys V6L anymore, still worked in 2.49. I'm on Win 8.1 x64.

Here you go. Device is seen normally by Windows

And you appear to have multiple HTC android devices connected simultaneously. Connect only one at a time.
EDIT : never mind, ignore that, your device is a composite device, hence the multiple matching entries. |

Drive letters are G (internal) and H (card). Only this device plugged in though.
I have tried my Trekstor Pyrus too and that one is seen correctly by Calibre. |

This is caused by the device being a composite device, I'll have to look into the best way to handle that.

I have committed a possible fix (hard to be sure since I dont have the device to test with). Can you run the following command in a command prompt and post the output
Code:
calibre-debug -c "from urllib import urlopen; exec urlopen('https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kovidgoyal/calibre/master/src/calibre/devices/winusb.py').read() in globals(); develop()" |

Good, that means my changes are working. Your device should be detected by the next calibre release.

Calibre 2.52.0 still recognized the AutoVision AV606 (identifying it as a WayteQ xBook, correctly reading the contents), but versions 2.55.0 and 2.56.0 identify it as an android phone without any books on it. Both the WayteQ and the android phone appear to be identified as vendor_id=0x5e3 product_id=0x726 bcd=0x222

Disable the android driver plugin in Preferences->Plugins and you should be fine.
