Using Calibre2OPDS with Marvin?
If I wanted to use Calibre2OPDS with the Marvin app, how would I do that? Marvin seems to want a directory ending in opds/ whereas Calibre2OPDS produces catalog files ending in XML. When I tried pointing Marvin at the XML file it said it was an invalid format.
The Calibre2OPDS page on MobileRead wiki just says the information will be filled in later. Not that useful. :P Of course, reading directly from Dropbox works just fine anyway, and it's probably the main method I'm going to go on using. But it would be nice to see what it looks like. |

I repeat one of my earlier posts, I hope this is what you are looking for:
You can transfer books from Calibre to Marvin like this: In Marvin use Get books > OPDS > Search local network > Calibre library. You must previously have started the Calibre Server to do this: In Calibre Connect/Share > Start Content Server. It will even transfer metadata from Calibre to Marvin. The only disadvantage is that you can't see those books that are already in Marvin. |

Yes, I'm aware of that. But I want to know how to use it with my Calibre2OPDS library, which is available even when I don't have Calibre Server up and running.

Have you tried asking in the calibre2opds support thread?

If Marvin wants a specific naming scheme, though, perhaps calibre2opds could be updated to play nice with Marvin.
The calibre2opds dev is a bit more active on MobileRead than the Marvin dev. ![]() |
