Sometimes I bump the edge and it goes back (or forward depending on the side) more than one page. I think it's just a misread of the sensor and lack of debounce or something. Swiping instead of tapping seems to help it turn just one page, but there's no helping if you bump the screen by accident.

Hi Drelix, what firmware version is it running? (You can find out by going into Settings, then the option for Device Info.) If it's not 3.19.5761, then you should be able to get it to update by plugging it into a PC and running the Kobo Desktop.

Reason I ask is that some people noticed this behaviour with the last couple of versions of the firmware. (I did, for instance, but it was sporadic.) The firmware 3.19 seems to have resolved the issue on my Aura HD (which is an earlier version of the H2O).

I can't promise that that's the issue, but it's worth a try.

Happened to me yesterday. Latest software (3.19) on a Aura HD. All I did was to tap the right side of the screen and it went back a page. I think this has happened on every software version I've had since I got the Aura. Very annoying!

I spent a bit of time today playing with my AuraHD to get it to go back a page instead of forward ... and I think I figured it out. What appears to be happening is that when I touch the right side of the screen the device goes forward a page. But, if in tapping, my finger moves the slightest bit right, then it figures that this is a swipe right and does a page-back. Way too simple to make it happen ... and kobo should really have a minimum swipe distance to avoid this.

Drelik's post says "a few pages back". That isn't explained by a confusion between a tap and a swipe. Neither is supposed to turn more than on page at a time.

Unfortunately, the problem of the book going back a few pages when turning the page has been in the firmware for a long time. But, it is inconsistent. Some people saw it all the time. Others, including me, rarely saw it. Kobo acknowledged it, and must have worked on it and as I haven't seen any complaints recently. But, in one of the recent firmware versions, I saw it a lot (a couple of times per hour of reading). But, it's been cleaned up again as I haven't noticed it in the last few weeks.

I don't know if this is related, but when I wake up my Aura HD from sleep, frequently the book will open a few pages behind where it was when I put it to sleep. I'm using a cover that automatically puts the reader to sleep when I close the cover. I'm on firmware 3.19.5761.
