According to the reviews it's a PW2. The PW2 originally only had 2GB storage.

AnemicOak is right that is a PW2--the "next-gen built in light" in the description refers to the PW2 model. And for the first year or so, they did come with 2gb of storage. I have one. If you order one, you might get lucky and get a 4gb model. But, if it were me, I'd spend the extra $20 to get a new PW3--guaranteed to have 4gb and a higher resolution screen.

I don't want to buy anything Don't want the PW3...battery life sucks...unless your lucky like my neighbor. Any way Thanks folks I was just trying to find the price of PW2 with 4 gig HD refurb price to see if I could get Amazon to work out a deal with me. Right now they don't even have refurb on the site Currently out of stock.

Katie--I'm not sure why you think the battery life on the PW3 isn't any good. It should be pretty close to the same as the battery life of the PW2.

I stand corrected--but six weeks still seems sufficient to me. Based on half an hour a day, six weeks equates to 21 hours. Even if you read all your waking hours every day, you could still charge it up while you're sleeping every night and have sufficient power for the next day.

I have all three Paperwhites and just by using them I can't really tell any difference in the battery life. I also have a Voyage with the same battery life as the PW3 according to Amazon and it seems the same to me.

I've never measured them so I'm just going by how it seems. I charge them every Saturday and they're always above 75% full when I do. That's true for all of them. I'm sure the older ones probably do get longer life with their lower resolution but not so you could notice.

I read a Lot. I already killed the battery on the New PW2 3 times. Not much warning on it. My K3 gave warning several times as the battery was getting low. This PW2 only gave 1. Oh well ...

Katie it seems your answer is to keep an eye on your battery. I always look at the gauge at the start of every reading session. That's just part of taking care of the device.

LOL I Read some time 24+ Hours Straight! Yes Between books some times 3-4 I Do check the Battery.

Any way I back to my K3! Amazon decide to resolve this with me returning the PW2 & Refunding my money...

So back to shopping for Something with lights: Will Not be another Kindle! Ideas??
