calibre-2.46.0 Problems

For the first time ever, I am having a lot of problems with calibre. I keep getting errors and have to restart the app...sometimes all my menu items lists are blank...not sure what's going on.

The main problem I'm dealing with right now is that calibre is not saving my previous view. For example, I always close the Tag Browser window and make the main app window wider. Previously it would remember that I made these adjustments and would reopen the app just as I last viewed it. Now it seems to be defaulting to a standard view. Is there a way to change this behavior. I can't seem to find it anywhere?

Mac OS X 10.11.2
calibre-2.46.0
