Question Leave current page up when sleeping?

I'd like to be able to sleep my Forma and have it leave the screen on the current page I'm reading - is this possible?

No. You can show book covers, static/random screensaver images, or a blank screen when sleeping.

Bummer. Basically, I want to use it to work on crochet projects, but since a pattern might take a long time to crochet, leaving it powered on is wasteful. My device has reached the point where it drains the battery fast, so being able to set it to a static image and power off would be useful.

If a book cover can be seen and I still wanted to see the page, I would use Calbre viewer, show the page, (I use a Mac).

Ctrl+ Sht+4
Draw a square around the page and create an image.
Make a fake blank book in Calibre and drop that image in as the book cover.

This can be done if you install KOReader and configure it to do so, but not in the native Kobo reader.

Last night I decided to just try something out. I used an RTF->epub converter, imported into Calibre - but did NOT add a cover to the epub. It ended up being two pages. Kobo used whatever was on the first page as the cover - exactly what I wanted - to some extent.

The problem will be multi-page epubs. So I'm thinking if I split my patterns up into multiple documents with just one page, I could get the behavior I'm seeking. I'm not sure this is worth the effort and epub clutter... but I guess it's something I can experiment with.

It might be easier to enable screensaver mode and put the image you want into the screensaver folder. As long as there's only one image to choose from, you'll get the same one every time you put the device to sleep. This will remove the need to edit your books.
