Kindle4PC Update
I got a notification that my Kindle4PC needs to be updated. I have an old version that I just use to download books for later use. Has anyone gotten the new version? Can you still download books and find them for later use (the Windows 8 Kindle App hides the books).

The kindle app normally puts the books in your documents in the My Kindle Library. At least that is where my files are.

I was updated yesterday. i can still access the ebooks and the DRM-removal tools still work.

I still have Amazon send the books to my pc. One thing, is that I relocated where the Kindle library is as there is a dropdown menu option for this & I definitely don't want the books to reside on the SYSTEM partition.

I do find that I need to do a "clean" re-install of windows on occasion.

I've installed the latest KindleforPC on my new laptop (Windows 8.1) and it works fine with the DRM removal tools.
