Book is locked by DRM....

I've been using Calibre for years along with the Alf plug-ins for removing drm. I've never had an issue. However, I had to re-install Calibre recently due to an OS re-install. I installed the same Alf plug-ins. I just downloaded a book from the library tonight (DRM shouldn't be an issue regardless of whether plug-ins are working or not). If I try to read the book in Calibre, I get the "This book is locked by DRM" error. I can get the books loaded onto my Nook but I get either a "user not activated" or "loan token not found" when I try to open them on the Nook.

I've unauthorized/reauthorized the computer and nook numerous times, re-installed ADE, etc. I've been messing with this for 4 hours.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If I load onto the Nook directly from ADE, I can open the book without an issue but I really want the DRM stripped so I'd prefer to use Calibre. I don't always finish a book in the allotted time.

You won't get any help here. Ask on the site you got Alf's tools from.

I doubt you will get much help, since no support is offered even on Alf's blog, for people trying to remove the DRM on library loans.

Do not do this. It isn't yours, there is no Fair Use exemption.

Very good point - I overlooked the "library" part of it. That's just stealing, plain and simple.

I just borrowed the books last night...

So the drm shouldn't be an issue at all. I should have at least two weeks to read them. I can't open them at all in calibre or on my nook if I load them from calibre.

No, you won't be able to. You need to load them onto your Nook using ADE, just as you would with any other book with Adobe DRM. If you're having problems with ADE, contact Adobe for assistance.

You could never open DRMed books in calibre. But DeDRMing a library book is dishonest.
You should be able to open a DRMed book on a Nook, if you've set it up correctly. For a library loan, this is the only honest option.
