Nexus 10 Recognition Problem
I've downloaded Calibre on my HP and it recognizes my Google Nexus 10 and I've uploaded the user manual to it and can even open it on my computer; however, even though I can see the file on my Nexus 10 I can't open it in Play Books. I've configured and rebooted and tried Google help but can't find anything there. Any ideas?

Play books only reads PDF, and epub. And the only way that I have ever been able to read ebooks in play book is by uploading them to the web first.

Thanks much for your response. Yesterday I removed everything from both the my laptop and my tablet and then installed Kindle on my tablet and reinstalled Calibre except this time I selected Android with Kindle installed. Even after configuring the tablet multiple times and rebooting both my laptop and the tablet several times I'm still in the same fix. From Calibre on my laptop I can see the book on my tablet and can open it. However, I can't open it in my tablet in either Play Books or Kindle. Any ideas to try now?

Google Play Books does not allow you to directly sideload content. full stop. the only way for your own (aka sideloaded) content to show up within Google Play Books is to upload it to Google first, and then download it like any other book.
it might be the same way with Kindle. this assumes we're talking epub/mobi type formats, and not PDF. |
