Marvin No Longer Connects w/Calibre

I updated Calibre today and am currently using the version 2.12.
After updating it no longer recognizes Marvin when I connect my iPad to my Mac and try to connect by going to Get Books and then choosing Calibre.
I thought perhaps it was because I just purchased a new iPad and installed the Marvin app anew (by the way, there are three Marvin apps...which is the correct one for my iPad!?) So, I installed the Marvin app and I made sure I have the two plugins needed in Calibre for using Marvin (iOS reader 1.4.4 and Marvin XD 1.2.4). The plugins are installed but Calibre will not recognize or load the drive for Marvin when I plug in my iPad and open up Marvin. Is there something wrong with the update, or is it because I am using a new iPad? I tried my original iPad with Calibre and it also does not recognize Marvin on that iPad any longer.
Help!

Is your new device the iPad Air 2 or the iPad Mini 3?

OK...after I download it, which is the file in the zip that is the actual plugin to install? It's all so complicated as I am not a computer geek! Help!

There are instruction for installing plugins. in the PI forum (and calibre help guide)

Bottom line: You install the ZIP (is the PI as a package).
Preferences:Plugins: add file button: point it to the Zip

I did exactly that...but there is NO plugin installer in the file. All there is are .py files which are graded out when I go to select a file to install through the manual installation.

The Zip file IS THE PLUG-IN do not unzip. You select the zip file and click, it installs.

If you want an installer in the Plugins Zip, you will need to submit your Patch to Calibre, because that is not the way the PI system functions.
Calibre reads the Zip and looks for a certain file. That says that it IS a PI and what kind and how it links (installs). That is what Calibre does NOW (and for the last 5 years or so)
