Calibre help!

I have recently purchased two book from Kobo. They are however are in EPUB3 format so the Kobo website does not offer a download to my iMac as Adobe DRM.

Pretty much all the books from the Kobo website allow download to a computer as Adbobe DRM, I wonder if change is now afoot in digital publishing.

I manage my books with Calibre so my question is, "is there a way to get the EPUB3 books into Calibre" ?

I am using an original Kobo Arc (over a year old and still working okay!!!!)

Almost all calibre plug-ins are OS agnostic. If its not compatible with OS/X it should say so when you try to install it. Heres a clue

The plugin doesn’t work on Linux because it needs to access the Kobo Desktop app’s database on the same system and that’s not available on Linux so there’s nothing for it to work with there.
So if you have or can get the Kobo Desktop software then I suspect the PI should work if the PI can find its database.

I can see the Dig-reader site now, so maybe it really was irregular ISP caching problem

@PeterT & BetteRed, I have managed to install the plugin to Calibre I did not receive a "go away politely" message!

Please excuse my ignorance, but how do I now move the books that I cannot dowload to my Mac to Calibre, or "thinking outloud" do I need to connect my Kobo Arc to the Mac to do this?
The books are synced to the Arc hence my question.

Cheers

Ah.... You also need Kobo Desktop on your Mac. The tools you have will read the books in Kobo Dwalktop and add to xalibre.

@PeterT...........

Peter damn amazing bit of programming that, works a treat....THANK YOU

Luckily I had sorta pre-empted things by having installed the Kobo desktop yesterday, looking for devine intervention

A final question, does this plugin over ride the plugin that I currently use to DeDRM Adobe EPUBS for putting into Calibre?

Regards

PeterB

Within approximately 45 seconds I had fixed a typo -- "book" instead of "books".

You must've found my post fast.

Yep.

No copy-paste of links on a Kindle Touch. That's why I made SURE to test.
