Stop auto title sort

Is there a way to stop Calbre from changing the title sort?

I sometimes have initials and numbers in the title but would not like to have them there in the title sort. Sometimes it saves my changes but more often than not, it doesn't. Is there any way to may edit in the title sort stick?

Not sure this is what you ask, but in preferences -> tweaks you can change the title sort algorithm to be "strictly_alphabetic".
Search for "library_order" under tweaks

paren items are not copied to title sort

My Title (rev 4)
titlesort is My Title

NB Same with Author

Example:
I'll enter the title: WMC 01 First to Die
Then, I'll enter into the title sort box: First to Die

When I hit sort, calibre has edited my title sort to: WMC 01 First to Die

What I'd like it to do is save what I've entered and not 'fix' the title sort to match the title.

WMC is the series? 01 is the series Index?

Enter WMC[01] is the series column, where it belongs
Use a Template or Plugboard when sending to a device
