Protecting access Onyx T68 with a pin?

On Sony T2 was possible to block the screen with a pin (4 numbers): is it possibile to make the same on Onyx T68?

T68 is an Android device, thus if you go in Settings/Security/Screen lock, you do have the PIN option.
However: currently mine is set to slide, but there is no slide required. So I'm not sure if the Security options really work.
I'm afraid to try the PIN for fear of locking myself out if it doesn't work properly.
But you can experiment if that's what you require.

Addendum: you have to go into the full blown Android Settings not the ones where you can go from the Onyx's home screen.
You can do that either:
- for the ArtaTech firmware you have to install a launcher, and then the real Settings will be there
- for the Booxtor firmware you have the real Settings in the Apps tab of the Onyx's home screen
