Kobo Survey Email

Anyone else get the Kobo survey email? I received it for my Aus account.

here's the blurb:

I won't be completing the survey ..... but please let us know what it's like if you complete it.

I just clicked the link to ensure that it was working and the message indicated that my 'id' already landed on the link, and that I either should finish the survey or wait for 10 mins and start again.

So I don't think just anyone can do the survey .... so I'll remove the link.

Hello, I'm a new member who uses a Kobo. I received something from them recently but I didn't open it yet. I don't get important mail so I don't pay much attention to what I get. There is plenty of time.

Yes, I got it. And I filled it out. Basically they wanted to know what you think about their website. I told them if they could look at my account they'd see that I have bought very few books since they changed their website so I don't know what format I'm buying until they get my money. I said the only books I have bought recently were ones I used big coupons on from the contests. I said I used to buy 10+ books a month! now I may buy one. I said their search function barely works, sometimes not showing a book searched by title, but will show in an author search.

I said I realized I could download a sample to see the format, but I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO.

I said the page loads too slow with all those huge covers on it. At least give us a choice of list or covers, and put back the format. Until they do that, I'll continue to be a very sporadic customer.

So I wonder if sales have fallen since they redid their website?

If you browse the the website and press "Show more results" to navigate to the next page of books, the site becomes slower and slower if you have pressed that button over 10 times or so. And is not my computer that is getting slow.

I hear you! Not my iPad getting slow either. It's like the people that designed it didn't even try to use it.

Oddly enough, I got that same letter (here in France) but when I went to the survey the first few questions asked if I was using a Kobo device, or any of the Kobo software for PC, android or iPad - which I am not. I got the impression the survey was directed at their branded e-reader and software users.

I do my reading on my Sony readers, and normally download to the PC and side load from there (because I like keeping my books in Calibre). But it was pretty clear they weren't interested in my opinions for this survey.
