US Kindle PW for use in Canada?
I live in Canada and I'm looking to get a new eReader. We have an Amazon.ca store where the latest Kindle PW is $139. I've searched and do not see the Omoton case on the Cdn site (is it the same as the Moko case on the CA site???). I'm going to be in the US in a month and was thinking I could pick up the Kindle and case there...but I'm not sure if I would have an issue buying books for it? Would I go to the CA or US site? Also, any issues in getting the cheaper 'with special offers' version?
If the Moko case is the same as to Omoton, I may just buy from Cdn site to avoid any potential issues... If you've had exeperience with this please let me know...thanks! |

You can buy a Kindle in the US and it will work in Canada, no problem. Just sign in with your Amazon.ca account.
It will cost just as much though, the no-Special-Offers KindlePW is $139 in the US, and IIRC the Special Offers Kindle isn't offered in CA -- but you can get it in the US, as long as you don't mind the special offers. ![]() You do not have to get the case with the Kindle, you can get them separately. |

My Bro, in California, gave a PW to my wife for her birthday while we were visiting last month (we live in BC). There are no issues with using it in Canada.
That being said, you won't save a ton of money by buying it in the US. It goes for around $120. |

Speaking of the Kindle, I have been toying with buying one, but what I am really interested in is the lending library from Amazon Prime. Here in Canada, I could not find confirmation that the LL is available here, so here is my question. Dos anyone have any experience with the lending library and how do you like it and is it worth the money to enrolled in Prime, and, is there anyway a Canadian can sign up to the U.S. Site and borrow the books.
