Converting .DOC to epub/mobi formats

Hola!

I have over 80 small .doc format documents I need to convert to both .epub and .mobi formats.

I do have the MS wordconv.exe in the default folder location on C:. I have entered that location in Preferences > Input Options > DOC Input.

I can manually convert these .doc files to epub and mobi, but only one at a time! When I select more than one and attempt a conversion, I get the error:

ValueError: Not found c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\Wordconv.exe

It seems it looks for Wordconv.exe in the wrong place only when selecting more than one file to convert?

And yes, I tried putting a copy of Wordconv.exe in that directory structure as well, but it will still not work.

Would be nice to get this working for more than one at a time!

Ideas?

@MontyJ - I think this should have been be posted in the Microsoft Doc Input Plugin thread ==>> https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=229166 AFAIK that is the only place where wordconv.exe is made use of.

That said, IMO you'd be better off converting the DOC's to DOCX's outside of calibre via wordconv.exe, perhaps using a batch file. Then add the DOCX files to calibre and convert them to EPUB & MOBI.
