Question Disabling rating in Cover Browser?
Hi all,

is it possible to disable the rating in the Cover Browser?

I haven't seen a question about the Cover browser since the Cover grid was implemented.

Okay thanks, I wonder why it was hard coded in the first place.

Would be a nice feature if you could choose what info to show/not to show in the Cover browser.

i never use the ratings column & just ignore any such display. I wonder what % of other users do the same , & thus whether there is a case for allowing user to customise

I just leave it blank. Your rating is not My rating and definitely the NYT rating

This is not a Slam on you.
Our tastes differ, so why would Our non-quantitative rating be the same?



There are very few (you can count them on 1 hand) people that can make selections (books, music, video and definitely Art ) that are always 4 or 5 stars with me.
So how can a total stranger (the metadata sources) do better??

So leave it blank or 0 and it won't show

I find rating useful at times (for myself, not for strangers), so just leaving it blank is not an option for me. Oh well, it´s no big deal.

I do too. They're my own ratings, and they match what I've rated on Goodreads. That column also serves as my read/unread, as if it's blank I haven't read the book. I don't mind the ratings showing up in the Cover Browser though, but more customization is always good.

Change the (look of) Star Icon (rating.png) by putting your version in the resources folder in the CONFIGURATION FOLDER.
