Kobo Desktop Reader - how to close a book?
I opened a book on Desktop Reader for the first time and now I can't work out how to close it

I'm sure it's simple, and I've just overlooked it ... how do you do it

I don't think you can close a book, but you can open another one - which closes the current one. It seems Kobo Desktop wants you to have some book open at anyone time

oops, sorry for leading you up the wrong path - though I presume in that case one should be careful not to sync, as otherwise the book will be registered as finished, right?
