Kobo Vox Black Screen of DOOM

Ive had it a kobo vox for about two years, its worked completely fine, other than a cracked screen from when I dropped it. About a day ago I installed a game, Order and Chaos Duels, and I attempted to play it today. it worked fine for about 5 minutes, then it froze. I turned my kobo off, and when I turned it back on the green led would flash, but nothing else would happen. After attempting to reset it multiple times (hard reset, manual reset) I decided to do a factory reset.

It started out fine, but after it finished the wipe and restarted, nothing else happened. The screen was still black, but this time the green LED didnt turn on, and the 3 white buttons at the bottom would stay turned on. It never went to the setup. I tried this multiple times, and nothing happened.

I had just charged it for an hour before attempting these resets, and I would like to stress that my Kobo was functioning perfectly well until about 4 hours ago, so I'm disinclined to believe it's a hardware problem.
