in the US. A favorite of mine and I'm going to re-read it, and suggest my daughter read it.

I've been watching for it and I'm so glad it's finally been released as an e-book!

Are there any books you've been wishing would be released as e-books?

I see that I bought it from Amazon UK on 5th March 2012. Do you perhaps mean "released in the USA"?

The usual case of a book having different US and UK publishers. All her works were released as eBooks in the UK a couple of years ago.

Yes! Jamaica Inn was released today and a WHOLE BUNCH of others as well. (I never knew she wrote so many books.) They have a few volumes of short stories but it doesn't say what stories are in them and the sample doesn't contain the TOC (fail!). My favorite short story of hers is "The Old Man."

Her best-known short story - although I suspect that some people aren't aware that she wrote it - is "The Birds", which was made into the famous Hitchcock film.

I read a lot of Du Maurier when I was younger.

I read (in spanish) and liked Rebecca very much when I was very young. The rest of her books I read in english. I found Jamaica Inn, The progress of Julius and Hungry Hill very good, especially the latter.

I also read and probably liked The House on the Strand, The Scapegoat and The Flight of the Falcon, but I don't remember what I thought of them at the time.

Interesting, thanks for the info. The film is terrific. Rebecca was of course also translated to the screen by Hitch. Haven't seen it yet. Plan to watch all Hitchcock's films eventually. But I digress...

Rebecca entered my personal pantheon of favorites when I read it 6 or seven years ago. Great that it's now available (in the US) as an ebook. I'll probably have to add it to my e-library. Also, a favorite book's release as an ebook is a great excuse to re-read it. I re-read, after 15 years, The Magus by John Fowles a year ago when it was released as an ebook - still great.
